Advantages: tried & tested products

Disadvantages: none

at 55 years old I don't go 'all out' to make an impression but I do try to look my best for my own sake so the following products work for me and I'd take them all to my desert island!

1. liz earle's cleanse & polish - a fab product which i normally buy from qvc when it's on offer - around £18.99 for a duo pack but lasts ages. this is the best cleanser i've ever used

2. gatineau throat gel has a gorgeous smell & the product tightens up the throat area. smells good all day so i only use perfume when i go out

3. mario di luigi's concealer & blusher.
i bought this ages ago for £17.99 - they act like mineral powders so the concealer gives the face a flawless finish whilst the bronzer adds a nice subtle colour.
it comes in a large round compact with a great mirror

4. proto-col eye filler is a great wrinkle-filler for around the eyes & top lip whilst moisturising the skin.
i bought this off ebay for £7.99 & use it religiously

5. big blusher brush from the body shop.
this huge brush is really soft so you can sweep it across the face to give a light dusting of blusher over the skin

6. dior eyeliner is a must for me as i have quite sensitive eyes
i bought the last one from ebay for £10.99 and they last for ages.

7. rimmel do great mascaras for around £4.99 and they work fine for me.
mascara is an absolute must-have for me as i have very fair lashes & without mascara i look as if i don't have any at all!

8. smashbox are brill - i was bought a gift set last year from qvc
last year and all the products are fantastic but i use the brown eyeshadow everyday to create a smudged effect around the eyes

9. lipfinity by max factor is my favourite lipstick for £10.99
it involves a 30 second routine using 1 as a lipstick & 1 as a lip-sealer which means that my lipstick stays on for most of the day

10. good old vaseline - 2 for £1 at many pound shops.
a tiny bit rubbed on to my lips keeps them soft & prevents drying in summer & winter

all the above may not sound too exciting but they all work for me!!
