Advantages: Can use them everyday
Disadvantages: Some are a little pricey - but also go along way
I love Beauty products and have to smell every lotion and potion while I go down the health and beauty aisle, But I am no means someone who wears make-up all the time. In fact, I wear hardly anything bar creams and mascaras and a bit of blusher through the week. I do not go out much at all, so need to doll myself up. But, I do have my beauty pot that has a few items that I could never do without...
1. Boots - 17 High Gloss Nail polish
Available in boots stores and online and retails at £2.73 for 12 ml.
The High Gloss Nail polish comes in 13 colours, with my favourite through the week I wear either coca berry (medium brown colour) or Sphinx (Light brown) and wear the Real Romantic (Red/Berry Pink colour) on the weekends. The nail vanish last up to three days without chipping, which is great for the price.
2. Soap and Glory - The Righteous Body Butter comes in two sizes
50 ml - £2.20 (for travelling)
300 ml - £9.79 (to last around 6/8 months)
The only Body Butter that makes my skin feel so luxurious it is incredible. The smell is fantastic, It feels so thick going on, but turns thin and creamy when I put it onto my skin, it sinks in quickly leaving my skin feeling nourished. I am totally addicted to Soap and Glory products and cannot recommend them highly enough.
3.Soap & Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths
In this pack you get 25 wipes and coming in at £3.91 a packet they do not come cheap, and do not get me wrong I do not use these all time, and when I do buy them I cut them up into three pieces, as they are so large and have so much moisture in them, one can last for days without going dry. These are 3 in 1 wipes, Removing my make-up (or lack of!) toning and cleansing. Makes my skin feel so clean after and really refreshing.
4. Benefit - High Beam
This is a great little product, but a little pricey at £15.50, although it really is worth the money. It is a high lighter that I use just after putting a little foundation on, or when I just have moisturiser on, You put a line on your cheek bone and rub it in, and also rub a bit in on your eyebrow bone and high lights this area too and makes your skin really radiant. You can also mix it in with your moisturiser, but I have not tried this yet so cannot comment on the effect. But as a high lighter it is fantastic, and I replace this product instead of blusher.
5. Maybelline - Great lash Mascara
I have been using this product for years and do not try any different mascara, because I think if a product works for you, the why go in the search for something better? You cannot miss the colour of this mascara. The base is bright pink and the top is lime green, so one not easily missed. The mascara costs £4.88 and can be bought in most beauty stores as it comes from a well known brand. This mascara has never made my eyelashes stick together, and neither does it leaves clumps. It is also waterproof and has never run for me, it lengthens my eyelashes great and makes them really black. A fantastic product and I would not use any other mascara.
6. Vasaline - Any pot colour
For the lips of course, Fits great into my bag a snip at 99p at most stores and what a way to keep your lips looking fab!, Softens them and keeps them from chapping in the cold weather, and gives a great shine for a good couple of hours - a must for any lady!
7. Coal Face by Lush
The most fantastic cleansing bar around, Smells of liquorices and softens you face fantastically. Coming in at £4.16, it is not cheap but it lasts the test of time and can be in your bathroom for months on end if you use it wisely. It exfoliates perfectly and lathers up great on your face and stops my spots from appearing, a fantastic way to start your morning off.
8. A good pair of tweezers.
I like the ones with a flat pinch rather than the ones that are angled, but I cannot find these styles ones anywhere any more so I am holding onto mine with dear life. I hate plucking my eyebrows with a passion, but these flat ones instead of pointed edged ones are so much better for me, as the pointed ones I cannot even pick one hair up with! Oh well, maybe it is me!
9. Ralph Lauren - Notorious perfume.
It leaves a heavy dent in my purse coming in at £45 for 50 ml, but what an amazing perfume. Obviously everyone has their own personal taste on perfumes, but I like quite deep and bold perfumes, and this one fits the bill and I wear it everyday, it also comes in a really nice trendy style bottle.
I know it was ten beauty products that we use, but nine daily products are all I really use - Sorry!
