Okay so if anyone is qualified to write a review on the use of natural products that would be me! Without meaning to sound big headed I would not be studying natural therapies if I did not believe in them 100 %! I've always had problems with my skin. I have a fair complexion and my skin was always covered in bumps and rashes. A couple months ago I received a sample herbal honey oatmeal organic soap bar from www.nevaehsoap.com. What a difference! My skin irritations cleared up immediately. I've been using Nevaeh soap ever since and my skin has never been healthier. Organic, all natural soap from nevaehsoap.com has been the most wonderful and worthwhile natural beauty product I've found. The bars are huge and they last a long time. The best thing is the herbal soap doesn't cost much more then the regular soap I used to buy but it works SO MUCH ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Natural Beauty Products - Should We Use Them?: Oooooh this egg yolk eye cream is to die for! (376 words)

Have you seen the advert for Herbal Essences shampoo? The one with the judge who got the urge to herbal at an inconvenient moment? Well I remember when herbal essences were a totally organic experience but they're not anymore. In point of fact they never were. A glance down the list of ingredients reveals: Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Cocamidopopyle betaine and plenty of other long-word-things the organicness of which is decidedly under dispute. It does however contain Rosemary, grown under certified organic conditions but almost as an afterthought. What a cheek! Many other supposedly natural beauty products are laced with such ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Use but don't abuse! (327 words)

'Organic' is one of those words which is popular with 'animal rights', conservationists and anyone who doesn't want products tested on animals OR humans. However, I think we users of beauty products are forgetting one obvious thing about 'organic' products. Without testing on something remotely like human skin, hair etc, how are we to know what the effects are? How many people out there buy 'organic' anything based on an idea that it hasn't been tampered with by chemicals, preservatives or mammals! Yet ALL beauty products contain chemicals...just not the ones that really harm anyone. To make it even more ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Natural Beauty Products - Should We Use Them?: Might be natural but is it safe? (258 words)

There seems to be a general consensus of opinion that if a beauty product (or anything else) is 'natural', then that means it's safe, or safer, than artificially made products. I think there is a need for more caution here. There are regulations to control products that come under the headings of 'medicines' (face creams, etc) but those that come under the heading 'health food/products' aren't controlled. You can go into a health food shop and buy special soap to enhance the glow of your skin, sunscreens, lipsticks and all manner of other beauty products (not to mention pills and potions). The point here is that these ...  Read the complete review
