Advantages: I shall suceed some this year... I hope!

Disadvantages: I usually fail NY resolutions...

Every year I attempt to make new year's resolutions, and every year I tend to fail within the first week. In the past I've gone for the 'exercise 'x' many times a week' which always fails because I end up getting lazy, or if I got ill I'd just give it a miss for a couple of weeks and so on. So this year I'm making resolutions with the knowledge that I usually break them, but with the intention not to! We will see!

1) Become more logical.
This is sort of hard to explain, but I've decided, due to recent events, that I need to think about things more logically and clearly before I act. I've put myself into so many situations I'd rather not be in, that I think it's wise for me to try and think before I do things!

2) Get the grades I need to get into University.
It's likely my standard offers for University will be BBB. I've only heard from 1 of my 5 University's so far, and for that I need a B in all three of my A Level subjects. I'm determined to get these so I can go off to University, and therefore, I need to work hard! I have exams coming up in January, so I need to revise as much as I can for these, to try and help me gain these grades!

3) Lose weight.
Yes, I know, this is probably the most common New Years Resolution, and probably the most badly kept as well! I've started eating slightly more healthily nowadays, however, so hopefully I can continue this into the New Year and lose some weight to become more comfortable in myself. However, I also need to make sure I eat properly, and don't go off on a crazy dieting theory like I tend to when I get started on these kinds of things!

4) Trying to sort things out with my family.
There are many issues in my family at the moment, and despite the fact I genuinely know this isn't my fault, I need to try and make things easier. If I'm going off to University in September (which I'm hoping I will be!) I want things to be better for when I am around, and I want things to be okay when I'm away, so I don't come home to more disasters!

5) Become more tidy.
My room is a MESS. I'm awful when it comes to tidying up, and I don't do it deliberately, but I get bored, and generally can't be bothered to sort things out. However, I need to start sorting things out, because I must own so many clothes which I don't know about, I must have countless books which I've never read and all sorts, and I want to find them!

6) Pass my driving test.
Although I know I won't drive while I'm at Uni, I want to pass before I go, so I don't have to have more lessons when I'm back!

7) Generally become a better person.
In the past few months, I've become more and more aware of things which I don't like about myself, and things which I need to change. Although I've already begun sorting these things out, and trying to become a better person, I think I need to carry on working towards this.

I'm sure there's more things I want to do, but right now I can't really think of any! I think I've set myself enough challenges really!

Summary: I'll try :)
