Advantages: It's all about me

Disadvantages: I might fail

Well every year I make New Years Resolutions, but never manage to make them stick longer than a few weeks, and I bet a lot of people are nodding their head in agreement with that statement. This year I am going to make sure that I stick to them at least until I get married in July. Ok so let's take bets just now, am I going to make it?

A lot of my New Years Resolutions have roughly the same focus; they are mostly centred around my wedding, and looking the best I can for my wedding.

=====To loose some weight.=====

I think that this is really one resolution that everyone says that they are going to do after Christmas. But I am not going to be doing one of those fad diets that don't work; all they do is make you ill. I am just going to watch the amounts that I eat and also cut down on the amount of chocolates that I have been eating. This is a bit of a problem at the moment as everyone that I know I the world gave me some sort of sweet for my Christmas, so I am trying to plough through them at the moment but, only have 1 or 2 a day, which is better than the 30 I would have had in the previous year.

Even though I am not over weight I have put on more weight that I would want to over the last 3 years. This happened when I started my new job working for Sky television. In my old job I was always walking around so never really put any weight on, but not now! I am sitting around all day answering phones, and when I come home all I want to do is sleep, as I have to get up at 6AM to get ready for work. The main reason that I want to do this is so that I look the best that I can for my wedding day and my future husband. So far I have lost just over half a stone in the last 2 months, so this really started in December, so not really a New Years Resolution, but it is carrying over!

=====To get fit.=====

My future husband bought me a Wii fit board for my Christmas, and I have used this a few times, and absolutely love it. So I really want to try and get more time that I can spend on that to get me fit and healthy again. I wouldn't go as far as saying that I am unfit, but let's just say that I am not as fit as I used to be. This really ties in with wanting to loose weight too, so the fitter I get the more weight I will loose. Woohoo.

=====To eat healthy.=====

For anyone that knows me, I always used to eat all the time and it was all rubbish that dieticians would cringe at. I am not really a fruit and vegetable kind of person, but I am trying new things now. I have started to eat apples, and more broccoli, mushrooms etc. in doing this I hope that it will also help me loose weight, to get to my dream figure.

=====To spend more time with my best pal and her kids.=====

Over the last year I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like with her. Mainly because I have went from part time hours to full time hours at my work. When I get home I am always really tired and all I want to do is go to my bed and sleep.

She also has three kids that I love spending time with, but it can sometimes be really hard work, as they are all under 6 years old. Her middle child is 4 now and he is getting to the stage of being a devil child, (and we all know one of them don't we?).

She is going to be one of my bridesmaids so I should be spending a bit more time with her anyway over the next few months while we sort out the last of the wedding things. Don't get me wrong I love them all to bits, but not having any kids my self it's sometimes difficult when you go down to stay and then have to deal with three of them at once!

Well we will just have to see how these go, I am hoping that I can stick to them, but only time will tell!!!!!
