Being female I was designed to love shopping. Right? Wrong! I have learnt over the years that I want the goods without having to go through the stresses of shopping in the high street and supermarket. Certain things cannot be bought as easily over the internet where I have become accustomed to doing the majority of my shopping. Items such as clothes and jewellery need to be touched and tried on most of the time to ensure you are getting the right products. Having a teenage daughter as well as a toddler also means I am dragged round the shops whilst the older one chooses what she wants and needs. The very thought of battling a busy Saturday afternoon ... Read the complete review

I do enjoy my shopping trips especially if it involves buying shoes, these days a lot of products are bought online and I'm no different when it comes to music, dvds or some electrical items as I tend to buy online but for clothes and shoes where I want to try the item on first then I love to hit the shops, however it can be a bit stressful and expensive if you are not careful. My first recommendation for taking the stress out of shopping is to leave your boyfriend or husband at home, mine is a real pain while shopping as he hates it unless he is buying something for himself which will rarely take longer than fifteen minutes for him, therefore if you take any ... A bottle of water in your bag allows you to stay hydrated on the move, which keeps your energy up and doesn't cost a ... Read the complete review

I love going shopping, but not in the sales! My guide is for normal time shopping. Firstly, if you are looking for specific things, make a list. Its so easy to forget what you actually went into town for. Ive done it many times. Leave relatively early, the shops are less busy, and you get the best carparking space. In Southampton, theres free parking for 2 hours near all the shops, so get there early to get a space! If you are on a budget, just take the cash that you need and leave your debit card at home. However if your on a massive spree, a debit card is useful as you dont have to carry around a huge wad of cash. Always stop ... Read the complete review

So you want to go shopping do you? My hints and tips are as follows: Write a list This can be a vague list or a specific list of the exact item. This saves you from wandering aimlessly around the shops, picking up things that you dont want or need. So you can write down that you need new work clothes, or you can write down that you need the original version of Fame on dvd with the song word booklet, and poster special.... Basically whatever gives you an aim.... Secondly give yourself a budget. Either a rounded budget for your day, so £100 to spend, or a specific budget for each item. This too serves to ...
