Advantages: It is good to watch on tv/

Disadvantages: Not many of the top seeded players have entered

With Tim Henman and Greg Rusendski represnting Great Britain at the Sydney olympics we would expect maybe a medal or two. But both players had very dissapointing first round defeats. Both players should have won their first matches but were both beaten in straight sets by players who were ranked a lot less then themselves.
Overal the quality of tennis has not been very good at the olympics. The seeded players have not performed. And 19 out of the top 50 world seeds didn't even enter. I think that this was a very poor turn out and it shows how unimportant the players think that the olympics actually are for them.
Players such as Safin and Todd Martin have already been knocked out of the tournament. The courts are very good there and i think that there will be a lot of unknown players that reach the later stages of the tournamnent.
Tim Henman and Greg Rusendski should be very unhappy at they way they played. The Australian crowds have been getting behind their players. And Mark Phillipousis and Pat Rafter have managed to life their games to make their onlooking supporters happy.
Overall i think that the tennis at the olympic games has been a bit disappointing.
