Whilst browsing through dooyoo I can across the title 'Other Motoring Issues' and I had to get a few issues off my chest.

I have been driving for 21 years. I have never had a fine and believe I am a reasonable driver. I believe I am a better driver than I was when I first started driving.

There are a few things I need to say though

(i) Why do most drivers now feel as if they don't want to give way anymore. There are exceptions but these are the minority. Whenever I drive my daughter to school I have to edge my car out into oncoming traffic just to get across the road. The only way anybody gives way is when I'm half way across the road. Even my daughter can't believe just how inconsiderate other drivers can be. It usually ends up with a driver shouting or swearing or hooting the horn. So what is the alternative in rush our traffic - stay at the junction all day!!

(ii) Cars feeling it necessary when I am obeying speed limits, to overtake me and flash me when I am in the fast lane. Or those who are about 2 feet behind me. Now if anybody does this I purposely slow down and don't move over.

(iii) Parking assistants hiding behind corners waiting for a driver to nip into a shop for 5 minutes. Then getting out and booking the driver.

(iv) Police parking on double yellows and popping into the chippy or newsagents. One rule for one - one for another.

Well I've got it off my chest now.

Summary: It ain't easy out there on those roads!
