Advantages: Freedom
Disadvantages: Well you could crash, or look really embararsed because you stalled with your mates in the back
It was a steaming Wednesday afternoon, last Wednesday to be exact, and Mr.Adrian pulled up outside the house and tooted the horn on his little “fiesta”. I had been looking forward to my first lesson for ages, but now it was crunch time and to tell the truth I was a tad nervous. Here’s a brief run down of how the lesson unfolded: 1. Well first of all we went to a quiet section of road, where he shown me the basic of a car, which I already knew anyway. I think he sensed this so on to part 2 2. Simply start/stop manoeuvres 3. Now we went on to changing into first 4. Then changing up to 2nd and 3rd 5. Then going round corners whilst using indicators 6. Now we got on to the real stuff and went for a drive on busy road, mote that this was rush hour time, I drove for about 7 miles all together. Facts of my 7 mile trip: · Stalled: 3 times · Instructor hands on steering wheel: 1 time · Hill stops: 1 · Max speed: 60mph · High gear: 4th · Number of times overtaken: too many, lost count at around 8 Well to sum up my first lesson. Thoroughly enjoyed it, well worth the £15 fee. Hopefully the rest of my lessons will go as well as this one. I will keep everyone here updated on my progress, by updating this op every weeks or so. So if your thinking of taking that step into the driving seat – do it, you wont regret it. Unless you crash or something peculiar like that. But somehow I can see that happening.
