Christian Ziege is surely the best signing Liverpool FC have made in a long time.

He is a world class left sided player of the sort that we have been crying out for, for the last ten years! His impact on games is undeniable judging by the reaction he got when coming on as a sub in the UEFA Cup game and the fact that he can actually play some too!

It was unfortunate that he had to resort to taking his former employers to court to demand the right to move club and it just shows how bitter Middlesborough are, but he has surely made the right decision.

All we need now is for him to get a regular starting line up alongside Babbel on the right and Hyypia & Henchoz in the centre and once they've settled in together, they'll be THE back four of the premiership, if not the world.
