P.E.Newest Review: ... at A-level the main focus is on the theory side rather than the practical. Although the practical is assessed and is progressively harder than at GCSE level there is far more theoretical content. I actually really enjoyed the practical side of the course. It entails such topics as sports psychology and goes into depth about human biology, physiology and cognition. Although this is harder than GCSE level the course is far more interesting and rewarding. I found A-level PE to be my most enjoyable A-level subject. As soon as you mention A-level PE as a subject you will always hear the criticism, "It's a doss subject". This may have been true for GCSE level but at A-level the main focus is on the theory side rather than the practical.
