Painting with your child is lots of fun, but sometimes it's nice to add a bit of variety. Where my mum works they were getting rid of a plain white ceramic jardinere with a roses design, it would have been pretty in any other colour. They asked my mum if she wanted it so she took it thinking something good could be done to it by moi! She was right. The truth is what i ended up with i never set out to get. She wanted something green and after it had been sitting around for ages being ignored she decided to do something with it so she put a pale green undercoat on it. About three years ago I decided to sign up for an evening class in drawing. I was one of those people who was close to useless at “art” at school, but over the years, I had met people who enjoyed painting. Even my esteemed brother in law had taken up painting later in life and had exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. And now I too had more time on my hands, and so I decided to have a go.
