PCB & Pakistan Team- A mercurial & sorry state of affair -------------------------------------------------------- I am a die hard cricket fan and always look forward to keenly contested matches between India & Pakistan. Pakistan cricket is governed by Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB) which has really gone down the barrel in the recent years. As per my view the board completely lacks vision and does get involved into unnecessary contoversies time and again.PCB has its work cut out to promote and enhance cricket in Pakistan and excersie control. However I feel PCB has not done enough in this regard. If you look at PCB closely you ... Read the complete review

**PAKISTAN CRICKET BOARD** Pakistan cricket is headed by Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB). I am not condemning the board or anyone, but this board has really made the hell of the sport. What the Pakistan cricket has gained in the past has always been over shadowed by sins it has done right from betting, unnecessary controversies, etc. The whole cricketing world is trying to bring Cricket into the international competitions like Olympics and Commonwealth games, but the board's doings destroyed or you can say, left no way to fail the efforts of other cricketing nations. The sport is all about gentleman and players, working together as a team ... Read the complete review

Great Britain took cricket to the Commonwealth to try and bind us closer together - Pakistan has single-handedly destroyed the game I love in that part of the world. The sport is all about gentleman and players, working together as a team to achieve an objective, not a political football. Ok, the original purpose of the Commonwealth in South East Asia was about shifting Opium, hardly honorable, but those days are over and Pakistan needs to get their house in order. Cricket, like tea, is an excellent by-product the sub-continent have enjoyed the riches from the British presence there, the Indian Premier League an example of how to exploit that. But Pakistan cricket has ... Read the complete review

The present Pakistani team is an immensely talented, yet still equally frustrating team. Controversy is never far away from the team, with allegations of cheating and match fixing never really far from the surface on popular public opinion. The following eleven is the team that I would select for Pakistan in Test Matches and One Day Internationals. The captain and heartbeat of the team is Shoaib Malik. Malik is an incredibly talented batsmen that made his name in the middle order of the batting line up but now finds himself opening the batting. Malik also bowls some useful off-break deliveries and can be a very frustrating proposition for batsmen. Wear ... Read the complete review

When England last played in a test series in Pakistan the series was most famously remembered for the disgraceful confrontation between England captain Mike Gatting and local Test umpire Shakoor Rana. Whilst that incident had the positive development in the use of independent umpires it partly resulted in the temporary cessation of Test tours by England until this winter season. Other incidents also occurred and whilst the series was concluded largely according to the original schedule the fact that the England team was given a hardship bonus for playing in Pakistan was regarded by many in that country as a bit of an insult. Conditions are said to be much improved for ... Read the complete review
