Neither did it aid my periods; granted I could control the length of them because originally they were ten days long and six of those days were very very heavy, but once on the pill they were still heavy but only lasted a week due to only coming off the pill for my seven day break. This was also the same on the pills Dianette and Yasmin but that's another story. It's hard for a female to describe them exactly but period pain is basically the result of your body squeezing out the vaginal fluid (NOT blood). I mentioned in other reviews that my great grandmother was anaemic, and so was my grandmother. My mother and I were just 'blessed' with just exceptionally heavy periods. I was told by one of my friends when I was at school, around Y10 time, about the benefits of the pill. I thought all women had the same, bled the same but for different amounts of time. I was so wrong. I went on the pill eventually just after my 17th birthday, microgynon made me depressed, made me cry upon orgasm and made me spot and gave me sore breasts 24/7.
