Advantages: You can earn a lot of money if you sell your collections!, Very curious, You can discover a lot of things you didn't know
Disadvantages: A bit expensive, It takes space...
Some weeks ago I read an opinion about collecting phonecards and I got surprised by reading the comments of some Dooyoo members which didn’t know that there are people who collect phonecards. In this opinion I wuold like to show you some strange collections which perhaps you don’t know. Some of them are followed by my father, so I can assure you that they really exist. So, which objects are collectable? PHONECARDS from all over the planet. There is a difference (of price, obviously!) between “uncut” and used cards. LOTTERY TICKETS There are some catalogues showing the varieties and the respective prices. TICKETS in general (of concerts, stadiums, etc.) AUTOGRAPHS of the best-known people POSTCARDS in general STAMPS It’s a huge collection, I don’t follow it. CANS Beer, Coke, and many others... BOTTLES But only some special bottles, such as Coke bottles made of glass CAPS Of every type of bottles SACHETS OF SUGAR This collection is not yet very popular, but I think it’s very intersting (because it’s very unusual!) ADHESIVES, STICKERS Of every type PICTURE CARDS COINS AND NOTES From all over the world TINS For biscuits or other objects SURPRISES I don’t know if in England they exist, but in Italy and in other countries you can find some small puppets in chocolate eggs. (They are produced by Kinder, do you know?). ACTION FIGURES Of films and cartoons MC DONALDS TOYS Representing the Mc Donald family or the characters of some Walt Disney's films. So, this is only an example, but if you visit some flea markets, you will find these and many other “strange collections”. It is fun collecting some of these things, but don’t think it’s easy! The collector soon bec
omes a maniac. When I started collecting phonecards my mother said “Ah! It can be done, this hobby doesn’t need big spaces!”. Well, think about what happens when you have some albums full of hundreds of cards...
