When you think back to famous Brazilian Formula 1 world champions from the 1980's, everyone automatically thinks of Senna. While he was truly the greatest in my eyes, we seem to overlook a man who won the world championship on 3 occasions during that time, Nelson Piquet. The World champion of 1981,83 and 87, Nelson etablished himself as one of the greats. If you think Schumacher has only won 3 world championships and look how famous he is! First off, I will attempt to make this an opinion about Nelson Piquet, not about Michael Schumacher. There are parallels between the two, but I feel that the other opinion that I have read here so far has been used more as another tool of the anti-Schumacher league than anything else. It is curious that both Piquet and Schumacher are considered the root of all evil, and yet "Saint" Damon Hill, and 1001 other drivers, when they behave in the same manner are involved in "little more than a racing incident".
