One day to go, treasures, to the biggest day in the England international team's sporting calendar since, oh well, the last game against Turkey, when we beat them in the home tie in England, and what a night that was? Unfortunately, my judgement is none too hot this evening because I?ve been out partaking of the amber nectar with Mrs D and dave27-ettes along with an unpleasant bar meal and I feel none too hot for the experience, I can tell you. Anyway, the England Team, alias a select XI drawn from Manchester United and Liverpool, featuring the only Brits not implicated in the latest dubious rape shock horror story, have jetted off to the far flung ... If you don’t know anything about football, you’ve probably been mouthing off about a ‘prima-donna‘ called Roy Keane in the past week. But I’m tired of ill-informed and frankly stupid opinions of Keane. Therefore I thought it only proper for me to voice my opinion on a subject that is so topical that it even takes up more column inches that what the England squad have for breakfast every day. You just cant praise the guy enough. As an Arsenal fan myself, i have learned to build up a hatred towards the red half of Manchester because, in essence, no-one can touch them. But the consistency Keane shows, whether they are playing Reading or Real Madrid, whether they are 4-0 down or 5-1 up, is just astounding. Same goes for when he plays with the Irish. Roy Keane has put Irish football on the map. We are in the process of qualifying for the World Cup in ... Read the complete review

Look, I know it's quite early on in the season to be worried, but looking at our league 'form' to date, I have to say I'm a little shaky. Now don't worry, I'm not one of these reactionary 'Sack Houllier!!' types, because that just wouldn't make any sense, but the lack of quality signings since the end of last season has to give some cause for concern. While I wasn't expecting a massive influx of players, I would have thought we a couple of class signings would have been ideal to reinforce a squad of already undoubted quality. Put it this way, I don't think I'm the only one that can see the team is ... Read the complete review
