ARE PLAYSTATION GAMES IMPROVING (PlayStation in General)

Advantages: good graphics, a lot of games, cheap to buy

Disadvantages: playability is dropping, to many of the same type of games

Are playstation games getting better? I've been thinking about this alot recently and came to the conclusion that they are not. I've realised that I have been playing on my old playstation games a lot more than I have my newer ones.
I love playstations, my playstation is my life but I have grown bored of my new games. I guess you would want my reasons for this and they are that even though games are getting to have better graphics the playability is dropping rapidly. Tomb Raider is a good example of this. There are a lot of tomb raider games that are extremely similar but by the time tomb raider chronicles came out I was bored of tomb raider. I think that playstation games do look a lot better and they might be longer but for playability they are not gettinng better.
Another example are beat em ups. They are all the same except for the different characters in them. Tekken was the first beat em up for the playstation and it was and still is a brilliant game but they have gone too far which has made it really boring and quite annoying.
All in All playstations are really good games consoles but sony are forever bringing out games which are basically the same. Below are some examples of games which are basically the same

*tekken + dead or alive
*resident evil + dino crisis
*matt hofman bmx + dave mirror bmx
