Whether it's a concert, ice skating or swimming, the Pavillions has it all. Young people flock to it all weekend, and its alive with the buzz of teens. Some top acts have performed here recently, including Kanye West. It's emerging as one of the top venues for performances in the country. Customer service is great, with well informed staff. The ice rink is my own personal favourite at Pavillions. Every weekend I used to go and skate around. It's a great opportunity for kids to get fit, and enjoy themselves at the same time. Finding good quality entertainment leisure centres in the south west isnt easy, especially in the Devon and Cornwall area's. Plymouth Pavilions is the best place you can visit. There is a swimming pool with slides, an ice rink and an entertainment arena which is host to some of the best national groups and productions. There is also food venues at the pavilions. The ice rink is a decent size and there are various sessions ranging from skate and coffee, general skating, skating lessons, ice hockey and skating discos. Plymouth Pavilions used to be the prime swimming/skating location, well the only ice skating place in the South West. Nowadays I feel the Pavilions have gone a little un-noticed, due to the new shopping complex up the other end of town drawing the people in. I have been using the Pavilions for the past 7 years and it has seen highs and lows. It's facilities include ice skating, swimming, concerts, ceremonies etc. I have to say I have seen the prices go up considerably. I used to pay about £2.50 for ice skating years ago and now it is nearer £6 - I know it is like most places, but i think alot of people in plymouth have stopped coming here due to the prices. ...  Read the complete review
