All I have to do is wait.

I'm not always perfect,
Actually, I'm never perfect.
But you nearly are to me.
Your smile makes me smile.
Your eyes twinkle in the daytime sun.
Your hair so soft and fragile.
Your jokes are just the funniest.
I laugh at you,
Even when you don't try to be funny.
When I flirt with your friends,
You seem jealous.
When you flirt with me,
I blush and giggle.
It's a sew-saw for us,
Don't you think?
There is only one problem,
And it pains me of thought,
The way you tease me,
Pull me in by the rope.
Once you've lifted me up,
And made me dream,
You let me down slowly but surely,
That's all that it seems.
You do it by accident,
I am sure of that.
You just enjoy the attention.
The leader of the pack.
I always forgive you,
As it tortures me inside,
Your sweet little face,
And your pleading brown eyes.
They draw me into you,
And play me once again.
Stop doing this,
I wish I wouldn't give in.
Once it has passed,
We try to forget it all.
But it will always be there,
Always in our wits.
All I can do is wait.
Wait for you to see the truth.
The truth about me.
I love you.

You don't understand.

You don't know,
How I truly feel.
Maybe after this poem,
You'll see what's real.
I really want to tell you,
But it's so hard to get through.
How I've always felt,
And how I now feel about you.
I used to be happy,
But I knew it would come.
As I'm getting older,
I was told by my mum,
For the time ahead,
And one day soon,
I would meet a boy,
Who would fly my balloon.
I think you may know,
Where I'm going with this rhyme,
But I will carry on anyway,
Just to keep in time.
The first days at school,
I remembered your name.
I just thought I fancied you,
But it wasn't just a game.
You went out with my friends,
And I was okay with that.
But when you started flirting,
You made me fall flat.
I tripped over your lines,
And fell into your traps.
You pushed me around,
Then my heart collapsed.
I woke up one morning,
And felt a bit funny.
Like you had twisted my feelings,
And poisoned my honey.
You walked though the door,
And my lips turned to a smile.
And that's when I realised,
That I'd miss you in a while.
I couldn't stop looking at you,
With those gorgeous blue eyes.
All the day long,
It was a big surprise.
You played me along,
For about a year.
I won't go thought it,
As I may develop a tear.
You took me though,
Some times of pain.
That's all you need to know,
Don't do it again.
I scared you a bit,
I know that's true.
And I'm sorry that,
I blamed you.
You were the one for me,
But you didn't understand.
You seemed to enjoy the attention,
Was this all planned?
I wrote lines of poetry,
To explain how I felt.
They helped to express my feelings,
So my heart wouldn't melt.
I told myself,
I never loved you.
But the feelings were too strong,
And so it made me blue.
I dropped many lines of clues,
To tell you my thoughts.
You didn't seem to notice,
And I fought and fought.
I only want to make sure,
That you understand me now.
You have changed my life completely,
So, go on, take a bow.
