In Bits and Pieces Over Jigsaws (Puzzles)
Member Name: Abergarwed
Advantages: Relaxing, addictive, cheap Disadvantages: Makes you eyes tired
Although a lot of people don’t see the point in jigsaws, I must disagree. I find that sitting down on the floor with a large empty board in front of me, with a box of bits and a picture building up before my eyes, very relaxing. It doesn’t matter if you know what the picture is going to be or if it is one of the mystery type, where you follow a story. Trying to locate that one piece that keeps eluding you is addictive. Who needs computer games. I find myself saying “Five more minutes” or “Just a few more pieces” and then find the hands of the clock have gone round for another ½ hour or hour and it has gone dark outside. My favourite ones are the Buried Blueprint series. There is so much detail, that every time you look, you find something new to see. You can feel so pleased with yourself when you finish, that it seems a shame to break it up. But then you think that you can easily do it again a few weeks/months/years down the line. Summary: |
