The New Year has been welcomed in with the brilliantly mouthy Baker and Kelly show. The boys were kicked of two years ago from Britain’s premier sports station for being too much for the staid BBC and have been shunted around ever since. Even Talk Radio didn’t want to know as the controversial, but in reality over intelligent for sports stations broadcasters never were allowed to find their spiritual home.Wrighty and Brighty who couldn’t be further from the type of show the irreverent intellectuals blast out have been retired for the foreseeable future. The later are amiable and easier on the ear to the gobby Londoners and have lots of ... Read the complete review

Do you ever find that you would just like to sit down and listen to some decent music, but find that good stations like radio 1 are playing something you don't like? So you switch over to somewhere local or independant national radio, and all you get is hooouurrrsss and hhhoourrrsss of adverts. Okay, that is a slight exaggeration, but still - it is soooo annoying. Especially seeing as the adverts they play are quite often ones we're not interested in. HOW COME EVERY SINGLE RADIO STATION THAT I TUNE INTO JUST REPEATS THE SAME SONGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. FIRST IT WAS S CLUB SEVEN, THEN HEAR'SAY WHAT WILL IT BE NEXT. WHY CANT THEY JUST GO THROUGH THE CD ARCHIVES AND PLAY SOME OLDIES FROM EVEN A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, I WILL TELL YOU WHY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL EITHER BRAINLESS BIMBOS OR HIMBOS THAT PRESENT THE SHOWS. IF THEY HAD A BRAIN THEY WOULD BE LETHAL. PERSONALLY I WOULD RATHER SIT IN SILENCE THAN HEAR SOMEONE BANGING ON ABOUT THE SAME OLD THINGS. ... Read the complete review

2FM (92 - 98FM frequency) is a radio station based in Dublin. It is run by RTE and serves the whole of Ireland, and can also be picked up in some parts of the UK or via their web site - www.2fm.ie. It is the only radio station I listen to now. I used to listen to BBC Radio 1, then stumbled across 2FM one day. After a week of listening in, I'd won a shopping trip to New York. Needless to say I'n now totally hooked. Here is abrief run down of some of the shows I listen to from them. The Breakfast Show: DJ Damien McCall hosts this from 7 to 9 am. He plays a great music selection - mostly modern chart stuff, but with a lot of ... Read the complete review
