Advantages: what comes around, goes around.
Disadvantages: Time consuming, sometimes reaps no rewards for the rater
Why should you rate?
Dooyoo:
Simple,If you write well and nobody rates, your article will never get the respect it deserves. Or make the money.
When you check your articles and find out who rated them, don't you look at their articles and rate some of theirs? I do. So does most of the dooyoo community, Just ask our member and game guide, Masterblaster- he will be happy to tell you.
Helium:
If you don't rate, other articles that are one sentence long, badly written, or the people who were writing them had no idea what they were talking about will be at the top of the list where more people are likely to see them.
So when you rate, you help those articles that are decent-or even downright exceptional-get to the top of the list.
Same thing when other people rate your articles.
You don't want your well-written specimen-that almost proves that you are ready for the Pulitzer-to stay down at the bottom of the pack, do you?
You should rate other people's articles, it is a duty to the community.
These are the only communities I am familiar with, I hope other people have more to share than I do.
copywrite Stephanie A. Smith, 2007
Summary: You should rate other people's articles, it is a duty to the community.

- 22/06/09 I always try to rate as many reviews as I can. I find peoples input to my reviews very useful and am always pleased to see any comments left. |

- 05/03/07 I try and rate people every day and make an effort to read people's whose names I do not recognise. I think that rating is what makes this site work and that people who do not rate will soon grow bored with the site as it will take them ages to make any decent points toals. |
