Raven used to be in the wwf years ago under the name of Johnny Polo. He left there and developed his new charcter Raven to debut in WCW. However there was one stipulation to his contact: all of his matches were to be under "Raven's rules". This was essentualy the same as the hardcore matches of today, however back then it was a radical idea. Raven formed his flock and was sucessul for a few years. Within the wrestling world, there are several notable accomplishments that every grappler aspires to. One is to achieve the "Grandslam" and win every title they are open to in their federation. Within the WWF, Shawn Michaels famously did this by completing the "course" and capturing a new belt to become one of the first ever European Champions. The other, is to taste glory in all of the "Big 3" federations - WWF, WCW, and ECW. Raven has a wicked titantron with a wicked theme music. He has had a long career in ECW and has now worked his way right up as one of the best wrestlers in the hardcore division. He came in to the World Wrestling Federation with Taz as his best friend but in a tag-team match versus 2 Cool, Raven unexpectedly kicked Taz and gave him the even flow DDT. I was quite interested when they bought Raven to the WWF. He'd got a lot of good heat in the ECW and sounded and looked like an interested wrestler. I was prepared to give him the benfit of the doubt for a while, but now he just bores me. Working with Tazz for a while was interesting, but he's not really got anything that exciting about him, no big moves, no agility, no mike skils, and either not well used, or just plain poor in the Hardcore division. Raven is the latest superstar to come from ECW. He made his much anticipated arrival to the WWF when he evenflow DDT the King and helped Tazz win. Raven been one of my favourite for years. He is an amazing wrestler and can be a good hardcore wrestler. His finisher is the DDT he used on king and in my opinion it is a wicked move.
