Recommended Garages/Mechanics

We used a company called MendMyCar, located in Great Barr. It is a new business but in association with a well established recovery company. Our car didn't start in the morning so the recovery driver suggested MendMyCar to us.

I found the mechanics to be most helpful as they diagnosed the problem quickly. The car was even washed and had been cleaned inside. On the other hand, the manager informed me the business was new and as such required more investment in order to make it a success. He also informed me that it was difficult to find more work as it is a very competitive market.

I also use tyre mart for my motorbike tyres and have found them to be much cheaper than any other garage. I'de certainly give them a call for a quote before going anywhere else.

ChipsAway service all depends on what area and franchisee you get - some are better than others. I used the Farnham guy back in May 2006 and he did a great job, I can't fault the repair at all (I can't spot it anyway!). He charged me £100+VAT to repair a fairly deep scratch to the front offside wing of my metallic silver Peugeot 107 caused by my neighbours wall. Did the job in just over 3 hours in my work's car park (did the quote at home after work hours too, so much easier) and neither I or my colleague could spot the damage when he'd finished.
