Avoid in Gloucestershire As with any other group or franchise it would be unhelpful to tar all with the same proverbial brush but at this time Chips Away in Gloucestershire needs to be avoided. I had a visit at home following a promotion in the Stroud Sainsburys car park which led to a home visit the following Saturday morning to address various scratches for which a reasonable quote had been given. The operator was punctual and well equipped and pointed out a very small scuff on the nearside of the front bumper which he could repair at the same time for a total of £100, so I gave the go ahead. I would like to recommend T & J Autos in Swansea. Though this is a small company they don't waste your time or money. I had been to another big name garage for an MOT and was told that my car had failed and would cost £500 to repair. I went online and found T & J Autos and they fitted me in straight away. After a quick assessment they told me that I didn't need all of the work and that the little it did need would not cost anywhere near the other quote. They were friendly, helpful and effieicent. I would recommend this company to everyone.

I phoned chip away for them to come out and fix A dent and scratches on the panel of my car.They informed me that they had a guy who specialised in dents and that they would book him in to come to my house and carry out the repairs.The repairs were carried out and i was given a 2 year gurantee.However three months later the paint has begun to peel off and the scratches are once again visible.I foned chip away to tell them about this problem and that it needs repairing .They acted irresponsibly and stated that the guy who carried out the repairs does not work for them ,they dont know his number and that they are not liable for the repairs. I ordered some budget tyres through Hi Q online due to be fitted on a Saturday morning. The expected call the day before to arrange the fitting time never came so I phoned the fitting centre and they informed me they had recieved no order or tyres. I phoned the national helpline and was told the tyres had not been sent but were now being sent special delivery, the order had been faxed through and that the garage would call to arrange a fitting time on Saturday morning. It turns out the only part of my order that had been processed was the payment. when my dad had trouble with his car , he deciced to use a mobile mechanic,he called, j6 rescue/mobile mechanic ,who i found on google.he came out and checked the car over and repaired it that very same day,his price was great and was really helpfull.since then my dad hasn't used a garage again , he has always used j6 rescue.i have passed his number onto my freinds and family and they have came back to me thanking me for giving his number to them as they was really pleased with his work and his prices.If you got a problem with your car call j6 rescue i would reccomened to all.
