Religion is a blessing or a parasite.

Blessing

Generally every religion sets laws are rules by which its followers must follow. Religious people generally believer in a higher being called god and they are his children. God has created this wonderful earth and resources for humans to survive. God is sending us to Earth for a test of enlightenment whatever happens to us is gods will. At the end the goodness of people will be rewarded and evil ones will be punished.

Majority of religions hold this view, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism all want law and order and people to behave well. All these religions are a community that theoretically should function in harmony.

Parasite

Religion could be seen as a parasite. Stronger religions destroy less strong religions. Might is right rather than what the religion says. Christianity and Islam have used bullying tactics to spread all over the world. If you are not part of the crowd than life is tough. Where Islam thrives, minorities are frequently targeted and humiliated, same with some Christian practicing communities around the globe. Hindus have caste system, lower caste Hindus are mistreated and live in poverty. Followers of separate religions fight each other. Over centuries billions have suffered and died in the hands of religious zealots.


Personal view

Over centuries no religion has shown its god to the followers. God is something that is a belief as is the religion. For all we know all religions could be false or true. What I can say faithfully is that religion has caused more problems than solved them. Fighting. Killing people of different faiths has made a big impact on humanity. God probably spends more time in anger than happiness because from what I have seen followers of religion of nearly all faiths have problems. Human fallibility has destroyed good practices of religion. Devil has won. God has lost. God chose wrong. Humans don’t want to sit down and be nice to each other and praise god. Humans want to act like god. Cheating and lying is the name of the game. Religion is convienant and is used by many to climb the social ladder.
