Back in 1996 i was lucky enough to spend some time working and traveling around The Republic of South Africa at the time of Mandela's new beginning and the brutal confessional of The Truth and Reconciliation hearings. Apart from being a beautiful country its also up there with Australia in the southern hemisphere as a great sporting nation.Cricket and rugby are the main white minority participation sports here where as football is the peoples game,although the crowds vary dramatically between cities and districts.
