Road Rage, Trolley Rage and Queue Rage have only come to light over the last few years, it seems to me as though modern society cannot cope with everyday life, maybe this is down to stress, money problems, job worries and family breakdowns.

I will give you an instance I was in a checkout queue a couple of weeks ago, and the woman behind me kept nudging her trolley into my arse. I turned round, and politely told her to stop it, and she replied "Why Don't You Move A Bit Nearer To The Till", I replied to her that I couldn't, as the lady in front, had not finshed getting her food out of her trolley. She becme very abusive and I really belived she was going to attack me.

Another time I was coming out of a supermarket carpark, and I saw a woman pulling into an empty car parking space, then I heard a loud voice shout "Thats My Space", then woman who had just parked told her to "Piss Off".

The accuser suddenly grabbed hold of the womans hair, and dragged her round the car park trying to assault her. The security guards ran out and managed to drag her off, the woamn was hysterical all over a stupid parking space, the ironic thing is that there were loads of spaces.

These are just two examples of the rage that is happening out there in our society today. I myself am a cool calm and collected person, and do not get rattled in a stressful situation. It seems to me a lot of these people need physciatric treatment ot anti-depressants, these people can be anyone from a road-sweeper to a doctor.

For example I went with my husband to the hospital for his routine appointment, while we were in tconsultation, we could hear a small boy, accompanied by his mother, playing with a talking book.

I could see that the doctor was getting very tensed up, all of a sudden the doctor jumped up, shouted "I can't Cope with this" and ran out into the corridor, and told the childs mother in an abr
upt manner "To keep quite as this is a hospital not a playground"

As a far as I am concerned this behaviour is becoming normal today.

Yeas, fair comment. But it has been around a few years. I reacll it being worse in Londin & the SE in the period 1973 - 1980, than it has been in Edinburgh.
