Trailing through the Speakers Corner I came across 'Room 101' and as there are a few things annoying me at the moment I thought that I'd add some of my pet hates to the category. Here goes:

*Friends (TV Programme)*
I must be one of very few who despises this programme and I can already hear people saying 'what do you mean, you don't like Friends?'. My (real-life) friends seem to watch it on DVD and watch the repeats when they are shown on TV, even though they have seen them lots of times before. I consider myself to have a sense of humour, but I just don't find the programme funny and I can't see what all the fuss is about. I can remember an episode where Phoebe sings about a Cat, which was slightly amusing, but I still can't warm to the programme even though it is such a huge show and has a massive worldwide following. Luckily for me, I never followed the craze of asking my hairdresser for a 'Rachel' haircut - can you imagine what my hair would have looked like? Especially as I have curly frizzy hair!

*Social Networking Sites*
I realise that I'm in danger of upsetting quite a few people here, but I'm not a fan of Social Networking Sites or Blogging. Why anyone needs 200 'friends' is beyond me. I can see that it is a great way to catch up with old friends and people you don't see that often, but why would you want to know what someone had for their tea or what they are considering wearing on a night out? Besides, how does everyone have the time to catch up with everyone else?

I bumped into an old school friend a while back and she looked horrified that I wasn't on Facebook! I mean, is it a crime? Does the fact that I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account make me a social outcast? Others could say that I waste my time with review and cashback sites, however I feel that I am putting my time to good use by giving honest opinions on products/services and my earnings are used towards Birthday and Christmas presents.

*'Baby on Board' Car Stickers and the like*
I am very proud of my little boy but I don't feel the need to advertise that I have a baby in the back of my car and I'm sure that most people who have these stickers don't either, they just want others to be aware so that they drive more cautiously. But I think these stickers are pointless. Surely a sticker shouldn't make a difference to how close you drive behind someone? Is a careless driver less likely to ram into the back of another car if they have a 'baby / child / cheeky monkey' on board sticker? Personally, I see them more of a distraction which probably defeats the object of getting people to drive more cautiously.

*DFS*
Quite a few years back, I bought two sofas from DFS and wasn't impressed with their service. Firstly, my sofas were due to arrive within 5 weeks of purchase, they were delayed and I ended up waiting 12 weeks for them to arrive. Secondly I was given an 8am - 8pm delivery slot and this is where my estimation of DFS lowered! Whilst in work, I arranged for my Dad to be in the house, for when DFS called. My Dad phoned me at 7:30pm to say that the sofa still hadn't arrived and I was fuming.

I phoned the local DFS shop and asked where my sofas were and was told by the Manager that the delivery driver had just walked in. Unbeknown to them the Manager had forgotten to put the phone on hold when he spoke to the Driver so I heard the whole conversation about him going on a lads night out and wanting to finish early and heard the both of them discussing what excuse to tell me. I calmly let the DFS Manager explain to me that the delivery truck had broken down and this was the reason my sofas had not been delivered. I then explained to him that I heard the conversation with the driver and negotiated a £200 discount off my sofas and delivery by 8am the next morning. My Sister also had problems with them so I would not consider them again.

*Drivers who tailgate*

Drivers who tailgate and drive way too close to the back of my car infuriate me! I don't feel like this just because I have a baby in the back of the car but because I am sure that many don't realise how dangerous it is. All it would take is for me to break suddenly and the back of my car would be written off, as well as any passengers hurt. Let's all keep two chevrons apart please!

*Loose Women (TV Programme)*
I am not a weekday TV viewer as I work full time, however when I was on Maternity Leave I was guilty of watching some daytime TV and did watch a few of the Loose Women Programmes. I am not a prude, but I just don't see why the show has to have so many references towards Sex! I find it painful to watch when they have male guest celebrities on the show as the flirting is blatant and if anything, a little embarrassing. I am sure that if you are a serious actor/actress wanting to plug your recent show or film, then 'Loose Women' is not to the place to do it. I find the show childish and can see why presenter/journalist Kaye Adams left the show to pursue more serious presenting opportunities.

There are a lot more things that annoy me in life, but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment.

Thanks for reading xx

I agree with alot of these! I do enjoy the odd friends episode, but im sick of it because all the repeats over the years. Id rather go read a book or write a review...
As for social networking, I really dont see the point, I do use it occasionally if i want to get in touch with an old friend or see whats going on. However im 18 and in college, pretty much everyone on my course uses it and ask me why im never online! Why not go outside and actually meet them?
