Advantages: All the things that wind me up, banished forever

Disadvantages: I know not everyone will agree!

Here are the things that will fill my Room 101. I'd be interested to hear if you disagree / agree! In no particular order:

- Manchester United: the team, their fans, the ground, their manager, even the staff on the tills in the Megastore.
Reason: I'm a city fan.

- The colour red.
Reason - see above.

- Hen / Stag Weeks.
Reason: An expensive ego trip for the bride / groom to be. Whatever happened to a night out with your mates round your home town the night before the wedding?

- The antiglobalisation movement.
Reason: They protest about global corporations, monopolies and commercialism, yet are quite happy to go home after a hard days rioting, turn on their Bill Gates Windows PC or upload pictures of angry looking police men from their Apple Iphone and blog about it on the world wide web. Spot the deliberate mistake.

- Afghanistan.
Reason: Been there, done that, got two tshirts, and I'm still not sure if we're making any difference. Can't say the place has got much going for it - it's a bit like a Yorkshire seaside resort - it's warm, sandy and all the locals want to fight you. I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to put a whole country into Room 101, but if you don't ask you don't get.

- Dizzy Rascal.
Reason: I can't understand a word he says / raps / sings and I have to get my six year old daughter to translate for me.

- Curries.
Reason: It makes no sense to me to eat something that hurts you. Perhaps they should make curries for softies like me with no chillie heat and call them 'coolies'.

- Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, or as I call him 'He who kills and eats it all'.
Reason: A couple of reasons for this one. Firstly, he's a rich media personality that tries to inform us about living a self sufficient lifestyle whilst hiring a boat to go fishing from ("It's free food!" - no its not you plonker, you've paid for the boat).
Secondly, he's on my Room 101 list for his battery chicken campaign. He guilt tripped us all into avoiding battery chickens and their eggs (do not get me wrong - I oppose battery farming for its abhorrent cruelty towards animals and on a more practical level, the quality of food isn't as good when compared to free range products) but didn't seem to understand that battery chicken eggs are remarkably cheaper than free range eggs - perhaps this is why people without the freedom of choice that being wealthy brings buy them in the first place - their wallets / purses say they have no choice if they want to eat eggs. He would have been better spending his time campaigning to bring down the price of free range products to make ethically sound food available to those on a low income.
Thirdly, I think he talks funny. Childish I know, but I can't help the way I feel.

- Amy Winehouse.
Reason: She has been gifted with a talent and has an amazing voice, but she doesn't use it to her full potential as she's too busy taking drugs and living the high life. Clean yourself up girl and wow me once again, if not, then it's into Room 101 you go.

There will be updates from me from time to time. Thanks for reading, I feel like I've got a lot off my chest now!
