Ruud Van Nistelrooy, the greatest Dutch Footballer Ever?

In this Review I will tell you about the dramatic Career of Ruud Van Nistelrooy. After playing for 4 different clubs in an 11 year spell in the game, I reveal how he has risen to a illustrious club of Manchester United?s Quality.

Den Bosch (Netherlands)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy ? Who. In his first season in Professional Football Ruud Van Nistelrooy played 2 games. Despite failing to score in the 1993/1994 season, the 17 year old introduced himself to the footballing world.
The 1994/1995 season was when Ruud Van Nistelrooy made his name to the Den Bosch fans. Scoring 3 times in 18 games was a major achievement for the 18 year old who was just beginning his quest for footballing glory.
In the next season Ruud Van Nistelrooy enjoyed his last year of being a teenager by Scoring 2 goals in 21 appearances. Despite having a worst record than the season before, the management team stood by him, a decision that inspired his career.
The following season turned out to be his last at Den Bosch and he went off with a bang. Scoring a nice 12 in 31 games, Ruud Van Nistelrooy was becoming a name widely talked about around Holland. The next season his profile would be raised with a move to the Dutch top league, a move to Heerenveen.
Heerenveen (Netherlands)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy?s first and only season at Heerenveen involved him in 31 games, scoring 13 during them. The 1997/1998 season was an odd one for Ruud. He began it by moving to Heerenveen and ended it with a move To PSV Eindhoven.

PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands)
His first season with major Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven was the 1998/1999 season in which he scored 31 goals in 34 games, averaging nearly a goal a game. He had risen to one of Holland?s top teams and had coped brilliantly. During that season he also played in European Competitions which attracted the attention of Major Clubs, including Manchester United.
Th

e following season Ruud scored an amazing 29 goals in just 23 games in the 1999/2000 season. The total tally of goals scored could have been a lot higher if it wasn?t for a serious injury. During one of his games He injured his cruciate knee ligaments which kept him out for 1 year. The major clubs who were all chasing his signature all pulled out apart from Manchester United who were prepared to wait.
The next season was a disappointing season for Van Nistelrooy; he only managed to play 10 games during the course of the season, scoring twice. When Manchester United came calling at the end of the season, Van Nistelrooy couldn?t turn it down and was soon on a move away from his home land Holland.

Manchester United (England)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy had just joined from PSV Eindhoven for £19.75 million. During his first season at United he played 32 games and scored 22 goals during them. His first season at United turned into disappointment though when Manchester United failed to win the league. The following season this would all change though.
The 2002/2003 season saw Ruud Van Nistelrooy hold aloft his first premiership trophy after scoring 25 goals in 34 games. Van Nistelrooy?s record for United up to then had been amazing considering he nearly lost his career to an injury.
The most recent season saw Ruud score 20 goals in 32 games, his lowest tally for United but still a respectable tally. Much more is expected of the Dutchman over the coming seasons.

Holland (International)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has played 9 times for his country, scoring 14 gaols. 5 of those goals came during Euro 2004 which Ruud was unlucky not to win the Golden boot. He still has many years of International football left in him so you should expect that tally to rise.

Amazing Fact 1
Ruud Van Nistelrooy made his Premiership debut on the 19th August 2001 against Fulham, scoring twice.

Amazing Fact 2
During the 2002/2003 season M
anche
ster United won 68% of games that Ruud played in.

Amazing fact 3
Ruud was born on the 1st of July 1976 in Oss (Netherlands).

Career Total
Den Bosch Played ? 69 Scored - 17
Heerenveen Played ? 31 Scored ? 13
PSV Eindhoven Played ? 67 Scored ? 62
Manchester United Played ? 96 Scored ? 67

I hope you have enjoyed this review on Dutch Legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Thanks.
