After all his injury worries during the Wimbolden fortnight Pete Sampras goes out, defies all the odds, and especially people like myself, and wins this coverted title yet again.

Is there any stopping him? Perhaps that was once asked about Bijorn Borg, but here we have a player who is able to master all surfaces and collect the winners cheque at nearly every event he plays in.

I see his serve as being his greatest asset, probably the only player on the professional circuit who is able to place his serves into every area of the serving box hence confusing his opponent before they have eveen hit the ball.

They broke the mould when they made this player, we only ever see one like him during each generation.
