In my opinion, Paul Scholes has established himself to be one of the best midfielders in the premiership. I also feel that he could become one of the best midfielders in the world, if he carries on improving like he has done in recent seasons.
Paul Scholes signed for Man United on trainee forms on 8th July 1991. He soon turned professional; eighteen months later on 23rd January 1993. Scholes showed a lot of promise in the Youth and Reserve teams, winning an FA Youth Cup winners' medal in 1992 and a runners-up medal in the same competition a year later. He was also a member of the England Under-18 team, which won the European Championships in 1993. His League debut was against Ipswich Town on 24th September 1994, where he scored twice in a 2-3 defeat.
Paul Scholes is part of the fantastic midfield foursome, in the Man United midfield. He usually plays in the centre of midfield with Roy Keane; Beckham plays on the right and Giggs plays on the left. Scholes can also play just behind the front two, as well as actually playing as a striker. As a midfielder, he can score many goals and he is also a player that when he scores, he usually does it in style.
So far this season, I think he has scored about 10 goals for Man United and I feel that he will finish on at least 15 goals, come the end of the season. Now to me, this isn't bad at all seeing as there will still be about 3-4 players who will finish on my goals than Scholes.
