Scott Belshaw was at one point said to be the next great heavyweight from Ireland following in the footsteps of....nope sorry got nothing. He was seen as a giant, hardhitting and likeable type of fighter. With the irish being the sort to get behind there fighters with out too much encouragement (john duddy, bernard dunne and barry mcguigan all being massive) much was expected of belshaw to follow on in the same vein. After his alarmingly quick hello to the sport, stopping his rival in mere seconds the under ground community was full of limitless praise for him.
