Advantages: Clubs get chance to win a trophy

Is the Scottish Cup under-rated and under valued by Scottish teams these days?

Answer is yes and no to be really vague.
To the Old Firm it's undervalued, the can deny it all they want but they don't care about it really. The Scottish Cup has become in recent years, more to the point the 1990's the "Scottish Second Teams Trophy" ie. the "league title" for teams such as my beloved Hearts :), Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Motherwell etc

It's got alot of advantages for the smaller teams I mean they are NOT going to win the SPL in the forseeable future and beyond really. It's become the one point where the small guy can take on the big guys over 5 or 6 games and have a great chance at winning......or so they say, I'll let you make your mind up on that.
