The SPL is the top league in Scottish Football today and consits of 12 teams who each play 38 games, each team 3 times, and then a top and bottom spilt is made and the teams from each side play each other once. The league consits of Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hearts, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, St Mirren, Hibernian, Falkirk and Hamilton. Premium Review The State Of Scottish Football (511 words)

Ok, so here's my rant of the current state of Scottish Football. I am a Motherwell fan and also a season ticket holder at Fir Park, so I go every second week to the games. However, although I do support a poor football team before anyone starts, it's not only Motherwell that I see in that same sense. We have the Old Firm, made up of Celtic and Rangers, who have and still do dominate the game up here, but it has been very well known that they want to leave Scotland and go to England. Some say it is a good idea because it would mean that the top league would be more competitive, however, the bad side to this is that there might be far less interest and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Scottish Premier League in General: It's football Jim, but not as we know it. (684 words)

Scottish football will be better off all round if the Old Firm pack up and play somewhere else. It'll be good for them and in the long run good for the Scottish game. The Glasgow giants need competitive football all season long if they're ever going to make any great impact on the European Stage, and they certainly aren't getting that at the moment, with it being a two horse race for the SPL title. Meanwhile the remaining clubs need to be released from their unrealistic attempts to keep pace with the Old Firm. It's never going to happen, the other 10 will never have the financial resources to match them. What Rangers and Celtic pay ...  Read the complete review

In recent months there has been a major change in the Scottish Premier League. Ten clubs have given two years notice to resign from the league, thus leaving Rangers and Celtic alone. The major issue in this matter is money. The ten clubs involved would like you to believe that it is to do with TV coverage and their anger at the Auld Firm's scuppering of the SPLTV channel that was proposed, but we all know that the prime reason that the clubs have resigned is to do with the amount of money they will be able to receive. I do not hold it against any of the clubs involved, and in a way agree with their protest. As a Rangers fan though I feel that ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Scottish Premier League in General: Hardly the worlds best league.. (163 words)

The Scottish Premier League may not be the best, may not be very competitive but still very attractive. Of course it is dominated by that of Rangers and Celtic..but Rangers sure got a scare last season when Celtic took the treble and Hibernian gave them a battle. Before the start of every season, the Bookies decide whetehr it will be Rangers or celtic, the two Glasgow Big Shots. It shouldn't be this way and it's unfortunate that it is..my reason lies in my opinion, Glory, Glory, Glory Hunter in football in general. The SPL recently converted to 12 teams, and in the last six games or so, the league splits into a group fighting for the ...  Read the complete review
