As always the newspapers are full of rumours about Arsenal players being unsettled at the club, as is always the case when you have top class players sitting on the bench. The latest 'news' is that both Thierry Henry and current temporary captain Patrick Vieira appear to have shown commitment to the club in recent interviews, whilst it is our english players who seem to want to leave (apparently). The month of September has seen Liverpool purchase 2 new goalkeepers, each of whom were first choice at their previous clubs. Chris Kirkland, 19, cost a British record fee from Coventry City. Jerzy Dudek, the Polish International No.1 was signed for around £4.8m from Feyenoord. Liverpool's goalkeepers also include Sander Westerveld, no.1 for the past 2 seasons, Pegguy Arphexad, signed last summer from Leicester and Jorgen Neilsen. United States striker Josh Wolff is a target for Liverpool, according to a report in this morning's Sun. Wolff has been one of the stars of the Olympics football tournament, scoring twice for the team which reached the semi-final stage.
