Advantages: quality, choice, revenue
Disadvantages: none, none, none
o.k ,where to start ,under section 6 of the misuse of drugs act 1971 it is an offence to cultivate any plant of the genus Cannabis in the united kingdom without a licence from the secretary of state .Anyone committing an offense contrary to this section may be imprisoned fined or both. So thats how the law stands ,but what about the people ,well ,i myself have been a user of cannabis as have many of my freinds for over a decade now ,and in that time have seen quality and choice decay to the point of the united Kingdom being the laughing stock of dopesmoking world and the final destination for hashish commonly reffered to as soapbar ,which no other european dopers would be silly enough to touch never mind smoke .This 'soapbar ' is usually of morrocan origin and beleive it or not acctually leaves morrocco as good oily hashish ,it is en route to the u.k that the criminal gangs involved in smuggling this product efffectively 'rape and pillage ' the hashish of the oils containing the active ingredient(thc), and replace it with henna ,rubber ,plastic ,and other impurities .Which leaves you with 'soapbar' ,the most popular smoke in the u.k ,but what has all this got to do with legalisation?. Well ,this is a situation that all u.k dopesmokers who havent the means or finnaces to grow their own supply ,have been forced to accept ,it is also less dodgy to buy a small amount of hashish from someone else than to risk the exspense and chance of arest involved in setting up a good hydroponic growing system ,which you have to remember is not in itself illegal per se ,it is only dointg so without a license that you break the law.I think that the legalisation of cannabis (for growing and possessing small amounts for personal use) would be greatly beneficial to the country as a whole and of benefit to law and order enforcement ,as ,just now the millions of pounds in profit s now being reaped by the criminal fraternity's could be harrnessed to make ca
nnabis growth and the sale of cannabis for personal use a taxable resource ,monitored by government bodies and industry watchdogs .Some may say that Cannabis is a gateway drug ,and that legalisation will only succeed in encourageing greater numbers of people to try drugs ,well ,if you buy cannabis in a licensed outlet there is little chance of the licensee trying to sell you some other drugs he may just happen to have there at the time ,have you ever 'scored'any drugs in this country ? i've been scoreing drugs here for over 13 years ,and as cannabis was the first drug i tried every other subsequent drug that i tried was offered to me whilst scoring dope from street dealers or dealers houses, the legalisation of cannabis would go a long way to breaking this link. Most of what i have written here is relating to tax ,law and the gateway theory ,so ,what would the users get out of it ,well choice and quality for a start ,o.k ,maybe small price increases for tax purposes ,but i think thats a price that many of the devoted u.k smokers would be willing to pay ,also ,legalisation would stop making criminals of many people young and old alike ,who in my opinion are not really commiting any crime at all as smoking cannabis is a crime where there is no victim ,it's not like stealing or violence or malicious acts ,in an age where we allow industry to pump our food full of chemicals made in labratorys ,and think nothing of filling our body's with legal drugs ,doled out by doctors who claim them to be miracle cures (think thalidomide) ,whilst making millions for big corporations ,yet we still persecute and prosecute cannabis users ,who are doing something which people have been doing and documenting the use of for tens of thousands of years .I will finish of with just one last thought ,would you rather live in a nation where youth are drinking themselves silly on a friday night before rampageing drunk and causing misery to all and sundry ,because in their own w
ords "i cant remember ,i was drunk" ,or a nation where youths go to a cafe and mix with people of a similar mind and then going home quietly with a take away to watch some telly? ,the choice is yours .Lobby for legalisation!!!!!.

Are people really interested in reading the true life experience's and the comments of real people ,living in the real world(i.e: not just finishing work ,quickly jumping in the car ,getting home ,locking the car ,and staying indoors ,instead of going out THERE!!!!!!!).
OR IS IT JUST A SITE FOR POST-GRADS TO SHOW OFF THEIR EDUCATIONAL SKILLS? |
