I think this is quite a difficult subject to make a decision on.
I think legalising prostitution will obviously cut the percentage of deaths, rapes, diseases etc.
Maybe if there were a limited number of legal brothels set up then it wouldn't be so bad.
At least the prostitutes could have certificates or something to show they have been tested for aids and other diseases.
They could be forced to have these checks regularly.
But would many of the street prostitutes even bother using a legal brothel?
They would probably get taxed too much.
Im surprised the government havent jumped on legalising this already,they'd make a killing after all they do seem to squeeze as much as they can from us workers.
My personal feeling though is that i wouldn't like my husband to be able to go and pay for sex without the shame and risk of getting caught.
It'd be just like popping down the pub.
A lot of people say that prostitution can save dead marriages...but isn't that what marriage guidance is for.
Im sorry but im not really for it.
Either way you're still going to have prostitutes risking their lives and passing on diseases even if it is legalised.
