Advantages: A real service that is needed

Disadvantages: Control

It is a fact of life that prostitution has been with us for an extremely long time. There is no effective way to eliminate it. Indeed why should we, if it is controlled in a sensible manner let it be. I have not used the service but know of people who have. I would much rather it be a service with a woman who has chosen to do it than have men go around raping innocents. It is far from ideal but these women do tend to have a choice. But it needs control to make sure people are not abused and that disease is also not spread. It is here lets give them a proper place in society.

I always hate to rate lower than 'Useful' so when I must do so I always endeavour to leave a comment as 'feedback' and hopefully help to explain *why* I rated as I did.

In this case, on such an emotive issue, I felt that far too little was said on the topic to help people 'make better decisions' on where *they* should stand on this issue. You tell us a little of how you feel on the issue, but nothing at all on *why* you feel that way, or what factors helped you to decide your position.

You mention rape briefly in your opinion, but according to every expert text I've ever read, rape is about power and not sex, and therefore statistically is not reduced by having prostitution made more available. In fact, prostitutes are frequently the victims of violent rape. If you have some statistical evidence that legalising prostitution can and does reduce rape and sexual crimes then it really does need to be presented in the opinion.

Hope these are helpful points that can be used to improve the value of the opinion. If you should update the opinion at some future time to give more depth and background plese do invite me back to re-rate. - TK
