I live in India and here smoking is banned in public places,you get fined a certain amount when caught smoking,this law has just recently been passed,but the problem is people don't take it seriously and most of the times escape breaking this rule.Smoking is a taboo in our country and people generally hide and do it,they don't like there parents getting to know about it.Smoking is very injurious to health,I don't do it and I never will,by smoking you inhale heaps of free radicals which destroy you from inside and when you do this in public you effect other peoples health as well,I have seen people who don't smoke but there friends smoke and it is said passive smoking is even more injurious than normal smoking.Smoking gives you several diseases and the biggest of them all is Lung Cancer and several people die from it every year.I hate people who smoke infront of me,for no reason I have to inhale all that bad stuff,I try to stop my breathing but can't do it for long and I cant even walk away because the other person will get embarrassed,according to me people should have general courtesy of not smoking infront of people,but there are many people who don't due to which smoking should 100% be banned in public places.This is my personal opinion.
