Did you know that in Australia it is now illegal to smoke in a public place, besides bars?? Is this really the step which is needed to make sure that everyone is happy? Nowadays you can rarely find a shopping centre or store which will allow you to smoke within them. Is this a good thing?

Well personally I feel it is a very good thing; although I do myself smoke I find it horrible to breathe in other peoples smoke while I am looking around a shop or supermarket. The answer to this I think should be places where people can go and smoke which are closed off, cause even though there are always areas within restaurants which have smoking and non-smoking sections, you are almost guaranteed to have the smell of smoke come over to you if you are too near the smoking section. And there is nothing I hate worse then breathing in smoke while I eat.

I think that we should really not go to the drastic action of banning smoking in public places but we need to be more conscious of other people around you. I mean if you are sitting down somewhere next to people and about to 'Spark up a fag' it really does not take much to ask the people around you if they mind. Yes, it is only a small thing, but then you are ensuring that you are not upsetting anyone by smoking there.

I mean yes, there are certain places where smoking will never stop and that is in bars, clubs, and pubs. I would never dream of trying to stop people from smoking in them as I feel it is only a natural place for them to smoke, but in other places such as restaurants and shopping centres, they I think should be non-smoking.

I mean I don't know if you like it but the idea of buying clothes that smells of fags
does not really appeal to me. So I think that people who do smoke should be more self-conscious and make sure you are outside and not somewhere, where you will annoy other people by your smoking.
