Compulsary Sport can have great effects! (Should Sport be Compulsory?)
Member Name: Neilshelp
Advantages: It makes you more aware about the importances of a healthy life Disadvantages: It can be quite a distressing subject for children who find it physically difficult!
I went to a secondary school where Physical education was compulsory to take as a full GCSE, and at the time i wasnt to pleased about it! During my time in high school i was overweight and often found certain sports activities difficult. But when i started P.E as a GCSE something about it changed, it suddenly became a much more interesting subject. There were no more cross country runs in the rain, and the teachers treated us with much more respect. Along side the physical sport was an academic side of the subject we called "PE Theory" This taught us the imortance of diet, exercise, how to treat and recognise injuries and how to treat them. I found this extremely interesting and this has definately had a possitive effect on my life since. Summary: All schools should have compulsory Physical Eductaion! |
