Sittingbourne FC, who used to play at the highly impressive Central Park Stadium,had a terrible season last year. They finished bottom of the Dr Martens Eastern Division League and were due for demotion to the Kent League. They got a last minute repreive when both Baldock and Witney Town resigned from the league. Sittingbourne,whose nickname is the Brickies, first started playing back in 1881. Most of the time they have played either in the Kent League or the Southern League.
