Advantages: Best sports package available

Disadvantages: Some people feel it is over priced

Sky Sports is a package that now contains four channels, which include the original Sky Sports, Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3 and Sky Sports Extra. All of these channels come when you pay the single fee, which I believe is around £15 a month. The channels cover a wide variety of sports, from the ever popular football on Sunday afternoons to the adventurous extreme sports on some weekday nights. The channels do have some excellent presenters whom make you feel very welcome to the program and channel, and they also have some excellent reporters and commentators, with my favourite consisting of the football commentary team of Andy Gray and Martin Tyler. All four channels show live sports as well as re-runs and interviews, along with some analysts commenting on the latest issues. The newest channel of the four is Sky Sports Extra, which is only available to viewers of Digital. This channel specifies in covering points of football and other sports matches in detail, such as focusing on one player for a certain period of time. The brilliant thing about this channel is for the first time the viewer can control what they want to see via their remote control.

You do have to pay extra for some of the big events like boxing fight nights, which are on pay-per-view, but all in all I do not think the price is that bad, despite some peoples feelings that it is too high. For your £15 you do get some quality entertainment and I would say that it is well worth having. With its features and live coverage improving all the time due to the income raised via big sponsorship deals and money made from the viewers watching it. For example, in football, there is a variety of statistics presented at the half time break. Over the last few years, I have noticed that the way in which these facts and figures are presented has been tampered with quite a bit to try and find the best way of showing them. This process is continuing with other things as well, and I hope that the channels continu
e to improve.

I feel that this package is the best one that is available to you on TV, and is available to Sky, Cable and Digital viewers. There are not really many sports channels available, but thankfully the ones that are available are of good quality. I would recommend this package to fans of most sports, particularly football, as there seems to be quite a lot of it on at the moment. Not that this is a bad thing for where I am standing...

Though this a really good op, I think it's in the wrong section.

This is supposed to be
Home > Sports and Outdoors > Riding & Driving > Motor Racing > T.V. Coverage > Sky Sports

and I don't think you talked about racing once, so that's why I gave you an NU.

I still think it's a really good op, but it belongs in a different section.
