SMS Messaging in GeneralNewest Review: ... think my phone may have fused to my fingers. I've always gone for phone contracts that have good text deals included, or pay and go where you can get free texts (yay for 02) Although I always remember my biggest bill, totally itemised, with 1500 text messages in a month, I dread to think how many that would be now! You'd think the phone ban at work would stop me, but no, I plan my work outfits around my phone, so long as I have pockets I can blame a weak bladder for my dissapearing act. The only part of the text lifestyle I won't succumb to is text speak, I must admit I'm a stickler when it comes to that, I'd rather be able to read a ... more |

My name is Sammi and I'm a text addict. There we go, I've admitted it. I first got my addiction in my teen years and since then it has progressed to the point that now I get unlimited texts and think my phone may have fused to my fingers. Well it is official I am a text-aholic!!! I have been since I met my match in my husband a few years ago! We met online, and for two years were very close friends, but as he lived 60 miles away from me, we never got to see each other, and due to his funny working hours as a security guard, the best way for us to communicate was via text messages! So, this all started a few years ago, in about 2007. We would text each other from the second we woke up, to the minute we went to sleep that night, and every moment inbetween, sending around 300 messages a day...a very expensive business when I didn't get free messages on my phone and had £200 credit on my phone a month (with ... Ok i have had a mobile phone for my whole life since i was about ten. Which is kinda sad seeing as i did not even need a mobile phone at the age of ten, when i see my friends and family every day anyway and didnt really ever go anywhere unsafe as such. I now find myself texting every single day of my life, and it is becoming a part of my life. I have to feed my so called texting "addiction" with paying my monthy contract of £20 which gives me unlimited texts and 100 minutes. It sounds all good at first, but the unlimited texts label only actually allows me 3000 messages a month, doesnt seem too unlimited to me? So sadly, most months, i find myself going over ... SMS Messaging otherwise known as text! Well I love text messages, I am a text addict (yes i do admit it, took me long enough!). I had to get a contract phone because pay as you was not giving me enough for my text messages. If you are a text addict contract is the way to go. Text messages are a great way of keeping in contact with friends which you dont see as often as you would like too, or family. Text messages can say what you like, little or as much as you like. It may be how are you ? Eveything ok? Or full paragraph sentences inviting someone to a party giving all the details. Text messages can be sent to more than one person at ... Read the complete review

A single SMS message may cost from 3p-12p in the UK dependant on your network provider and there are frequent special offers which may enable you to obtain free text messages to certain mobile numbers. A SMS is usually made up of around 160 characters or less and some people will use shorthand or abbreviate words to save characters to save space & subsequently to save money. I thorougly enjoy sending SMS messages as it enables me to communicate with friends & relatives when they are at work, in meetings or have their phones turned off. I can also get a 'delivery report' sent to my phone which confirms when the message has been successfully ... Read the complete review
