Have you heard of Zagme? It is a company that send you text messages of offers, savings and freebies given by shops at lakeside and bluewater shopping centres. You then take you handset into the shop giving the offers, show the member of staff and then claim it. Very simple! I signed up through zagme.com and set up my profile on there, however you can just send them a text (enter “call me”) and they will call you back and set you up an account over the phone. This bit is pretty good. Everytime they send you a text you will get 5p added to your account and for every member you introduce (and who then uses the service) you will get £5 ZagPoints can be redeemed for mobile pre-pay or store vouchers, once you have registered. These will be sent to your home address. When you go to Lakeside or Bluewater you type in where you are and how long you are going to be there (e.g. lak3 or blu6) and then send it to 07740707770 then you will receive a message back telling you that you are now activated, then just wait to receive your offers by text!! Cant hurt to give it a go!! And if you don’t like it, just de-activate it Here is a list of Zagme SMS commands: Call me = I don’t want to pay the cost of the call to register, ring me back, or call me for any other reason! Lak3 = I want to activate Zagme at Lakeside Shopping Centre for the next 3 hours. Blu4 = I want to activate Zagme at Bluewater Shopping Centre for the next 4 hours. Bar = This will tell us that you don’t want to hear from the store who’s just sent you a message ever again! (Unbar = will do the opposite) Off = I want to turn Zagme off, now! PIN = I want you to SMS me a reminder of my PIN by text message. Commands are sent to: 07740707770 Just to let you know, I don’t work for this company this opinion is just to let you know about it, I use it, maybe you will too

- 17/08/01 I also use this service, and have used a couple of the discounts sent to me.
It's not bad at all

- 08/08/01 Good op, although I think it would annoy the hell out of me and I wouldn't trust them not to bombard me with unwanted text and sell my number on to other people... |

- 06/08/01 Great idea. We don't have anything like that in our area. |
