Disadvantages: in Spain

Bisan-Etame Lauren now plays for Arsenal. I'm sure he will tell you how competitive and beautiful the spanish game has and still is. Arsenal bought Lauren for £7 million and he is one of the most complete footballers at a tender age of 22.

He was in the same Mallorca side as Gerrard, now playing for Barcelona who is Spain's version of our own Stephen Gerrard. He has an amazing passing range but at 21, Barcelona (with all their stars), never play him. He is definitely one to look at.

Diego Tristian, now part of that Deportivo side that can't play European football, but somehow manage to do well in their league, where they are currently 2nd - is one of the most promising strikers in the world at the moment.

Deportivo, recently lost 2-1 to Zaragoza with Dhjalmina being sent off for the third time this season, after a 3-0 reverse at Leeds. The side lack passion, but have good players.

Valencia, on the other hand are much stronger but inconsistent. Arsenal had a good victory at Highbury, but Valencia will be a different side at home.

To sum up my opionions on the Spanish league, I would say: Barcelona, you need combative defenders and midfielders. Spend your money, but spend it wisely. Real Madrid, you're an excellent side. Arrogance is the key to failure.

The Spanish League: Power & Finesse.

Good opinion. I also agree with Thighmaster and skidddy. Arsenal needed at least a two goal lead going into the away match with Valencia. Diego Tristan's equaliser against Real Madrid was stunning with its accuracy. Every club in Europe will be tracking him.

I think Valencia will knock Arsenal out of the Champions League. They'll be too strong at home for Arsenal.

Diego Tristian has become Deportivo's star asset and with Dani (currently on the side lines at Barcelona) he is surely one of the best strikers in Spain.
