Personally I prefer to watch rugby platers rather than the actual sport, hunky guys who are toned and well muscled are a big turn on however even I got sucked into the excitement yesterday of watching one of the most dramatic conclusions to a Six Nations tournament in many years, it helped perhaps that neither of the teams involved were England, they had gone someway already to securing second place by beating a rather poor Scotland team after the previous weeks trouncing of France.

Yesterday was all about whether a potentially great Irish side could achieve a place in history by winning the Grand Slam, they only needed to avoid a 13 point defeat against defending champions Wales to win the championship however a lean sweep was what they were after as the last one was 61 years ago just after the second world war.

The game itself was full of tension and atmosphere even if it lacked great attacking play, lots of errors slowed it down however I enjoyed it despite the constant chatter from my other half trying to explain everything to me, however without him this review would not have gotten written so he does have some uses.

In the end Ireland prevailed by two points thanks to a late drop kick and a welsh penalty falling short which was pretty much the last kick of the game, even in my home town you could see green Irish shirts in the pubs with people out celebrating long into the night I imagine after what was a very dramatic final day of rugby. Well done Ireland I guess and maybe it will inspire England next season.
