Jaap Stam is just a pure class defender and he has improved tremendously since joining Man Utd for a fee of over £10 milliom. He is very composed, and after his nightmare start against Arsenal, he has now established himself as a quality defender both for Man Utd and also as an international player. Man Utd play much better when he is at the heart of the defence- he is one of the most importnat players in the team along with Roy Keane and david Beckham. He passes the ball very well and is strong in the tackle. overall, the most complete defender in the Premiership, and one of the best in the whole worls- shame he's always getting injured.
